“I’ve decided to sell my home, but don’t know what that entails. HELP!!”
Look no further! I’m here to help. Here are the steps I take to ensure you can make an informed decision about using me to list and sell your home.
1. Set up an Appointment
You called me and that was easy! I’m approachable and at this point we’ve likely made an appointment for me to come for a visit you at your home.
2. The First Meeting
At our first meeting, I’ve likely brought you a lot of information for you to review. I try to print off and bring information so that we can discuss your current home value.
I also ask you question such as;
- Have you called your bank and asked if you have a payout penalty on your current mortgage?
- Are you familiar with the MLS® system and its benefits?
- Do you understand our commission structure and are you comfortable with me as your agent? We will also discuss what you can expect while working with me.
These are a few examples of questions that we should be able to openly discuss and which will hopefully make you feel comfortable with the process of selling your home.
3. Listing Your Home
You’ve decided to list your home and it’s time for us to complete the required paperwork, take pictures, and get your listing “active” on the MLS® system.
4. Selling Your Home
A buyer has fallen in love with your home and at this point I will help you negotiate acceptable terms, conditions, and a final selling price.
